Read on to find the words of wisdom that will motivate you in, leading your life, creating success, achieving your goals, building your business and overcoming your fears.
1. Build Your Brand
Regardless of age, regardless of position, regardless of the business we happen to be in, all of us need to understand the importance of branding. We are the CEOs of our own companies: Me Inc. To be in business today, our most important job is to be the head marketer for the brand called You.
2. Just Keep Moving
When you drive a car at night, you can see only as far as your headlights, but you can make the whole trip that way. You don’t have to see where you are going, you don’t have to see your destination or everything you will pass along the way. You just have to see two or three feet ahead of you.
3. Fear And Uncertainty Is Normal
It’s a common misconception that successful entrepreneurs have a rock solid certainty about their business at the outset. When you dig a little deeper, you’ll find that most had fears and reservations about how things would turn out. Yet they moved forward with their plan despite these doubts. The most important step – the one that most people never take – is to actually get started building your business.
4. Never Settle
Each day presents an opportunity to learn more, do more, be more, grow more in our lives and careers. Finished ought to be an F-word for all of us. We are all works in progress.
5. Apply The Right Mindset
If you think one million dollars is a lot of money, you might get one hundred thousand dollars. Similarly, if you think ten million dollars is a lot of money you might get one million dollars. Its about your mindset. Its about how big you’re dreaming. The bigger the dream, the bigger your achievements. Set bigger goals!
6. Embrace Challenges
The best things in life are often hard, and if you shy away from difficulty and discomfort, you’ll miss out. You’ll live a life of safety. Learning is hard. Building something great is hard. Writing a book is hard. A marriage is hard. Running an ultra-marathon is hard. All are amazing. If you get good at this, you can do anything.
7. Your Perspective Matters
You will come across obstacles in life, fair and unfair. And you will discover, time and time again, that what matters most is not what these obstacles are but how we see them, how we react to them, and whether we keep our composure. You will learn that this reaction determines how successful we will be in overcoming, or possibly thriving because of them.
8. What Is Your Fear
Failure is actually not the worst outcome – not even trying is a much worse outcome. Why? Because if you try something and fail, you learned something, you got some practice, and next time you’ll be better. You’re further along than before. But if you don’t even try, out of fear, you don’t learn anything, and you’ll probably keep doing this because you’re creating a pattern of running from fear.
9. The Long Term Mindset
If you have a long-term goal for yourself, one that you have imagined in detail, then you are better able to make proper decisions in the present. You have a sense of proportion, sometimes the things we fuss over in the present don’t matter in the long run. All of this gives you increased power to reach your objectives.
10. You Just Need To Start
Everyone who is in the top 10 percent of his or her field started in the bottom 10 percent. Everyone who is doing well today was once doing poorly. Everyone who is at the front of the buffet line of life started at the back of the line.
