The NoDaysOff Values:
Stick with a course of action once you’ve decided on it. This is the difference between success and failure. It is easy to be great but harder to be consistent. Repetition matters. Everyone wants to make progress, and there is only one way to do this: put the work into your Grind consistently. The goal you are trying to achieve is just an event — something that you cannot totally control or predict. But the consistency in your Grind is what makes that event a reality.
Long Term Mindset
Making any real positive change in your life takes time. Results do not come quickly or easily and there will always be setbacks. In order to reach them you need to reprogramme your mind to think long term, so you can push through any short term pain or plateaus that may impede your progress. Understand the concept of patience, through understanding time’s role in the natural progression and processes of all living things. If you can develop the capacity to understand this you will make great strides in short-circuiting the “I want it now” mentality. While there’s nothing wrong with wanting something to occur faster, it’s important you don’t make that your constant modus operandi.
A growth mindset means believing that your most basic abilities can be developed. Intelligence in anything can be developed. You have a desire to learn and therefore the tendency to embrace challenges, persist in the face of setbacks, see effort as the path to mastery, learn from criticism, and find lessons and inspiration in the success of others. As a result, you can reach higher levels of achievement. This will give you a greater sense of free will.
With resilience, you have the ability to properly adapt to stress and adversity. Stress and adversity can come in the shape of family or relationship problems, health problems, or workplace and financial stressors, among others. You demonstrate resilience when you can face difficult experiences and rise above them with ease. Resilience is not a rare ability; in reality it is found in the average individual and it can be learned and developed by virtually anyone.
Self-doubt and lack of self-belief are your biggest enemies. You have to believe that you can! You need to develop an unshakable belief in yourself and the achievements you pursue. You need to have an unwavering belief in your abilities and know that your goals will be achieved. Learn that you are more capable and more tolerant of discomfort than you think.
The strongest may survive but it is the passionate that will thrive. Your passion and your purpose must be greater than your challenges. To be successful you have to work harder, learn more, practice longer, lead better, smile more, and love deeper. Passion pushes you one step further. Passion is an emotion that comes from within you. It is your enthusiasm, your zeal, your drive, and your motivation. Your success comes not from what you do, but how well you do it – your passion.
Lots of people come up with interesting ideas to pursue, but planning or merely mentioning what one will do is different to taking action on what one would have planned or said they would do. You have to do more than just the talking and planning. Develop the “Just Do It” attitude as you are more likely to take action immediately or shortly after you generate your ideas. As the old adage goes: “actions speak louder than words”.
